Achieve Something Great 
Here is an exciting opportunity within Primary and Community Health for a Dietitian to join the Paediatric Weight Management Service. 

In this role, you will contribute to delivering practical, evidence‑based nutrition care for children and young people aged 2–18 years and their families. You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team that includes a Paediatrician , Nurse Practitioner, Psychologist, Social Worker, Exercise Physiologist, Administrative Officer, and fellow Dietitians. You will also receive guidance and support from senior Dietitians to help you develop confidence and skills in paediatric practice.

Your work will involve collaborating with the MDT to complete individual assessments and provide tailored nutrition care plans that support families to make sustainable lifestyle changes. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of children and their families while working across multiple community clinics within a service that values innovation, equity, and high‑quality care.

This position is district‑wide, with negotiable location. The position may be extended depending on service needs. Flexible work arrangements are available within Primary and Community Health. 
 

Are You the Right Fit? 
We are seeking a motivated Dietitian who enjoys working with children and families and values collaborative practice within a multidisciplinary team. The role suits someone who is adaptable, organised, and comfortable contributing to a busy clinic environment. You will provide practical, holistic nutrition support and work closely with colleagues to deliver effective, family‑centred care. You will also be open to covering more than one clinic if needed, with your primary location negotiable and able to be adjusted based on service needs.


Selection Criteria 
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. 

  • Post graduate qualification or Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics as recognized by the Dietitians Association of Australia.
  • Relevant clinical experience and good knowledge of current Dietetics Practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group education skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of the team
  • Demonstrated experience in the prescription and delivery of nutrition care to children and their families.
  • Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
