Royal North Shore Hospital - Diabetes Education
What you'll be doing
The Senior Dietitian will provide advanced clinical leadership and expert nutrition care for complex people with diabetes across an ambulatory care setting. Key areas include diabetes in pregnancy, type 1, type 2 and type 3c diabetes, diabetes technologies, complex insulin therapy including insulin pump therapy. The role includes service development, quality improvement, and leadership of group education programs.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics and eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia. Minimum experience as level 2 Dietitian.
- Describe your qualifications and eligibility for Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status and outline your experience in advanced or senior clinical dietetic practice.
- Describe your experience providing advanced nutrition care for people with diabetes, concluding involvement in complex insulin therapy, diabetes technology, gestational diabetes or specialist multidisciplinary clinics.
- Describe your experience providing leadership, supervision, education or service development within a clinical nutrition service.
