Remuneration: $26.93 - $33.37 per hour + Superannuation

Join our supportive and dedicated team at the Wansey Dialysis Unit in Charlestown, part of the John Hunter Hospital Department of Nephrology.

As the largest dialysis unit in the district, we provide high-quality care across 22 dialysis chairs, supported by a strong culture of teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centred care

 



Caring in Action

Working alongside a team of experienced Registered Nurses, you will play an important role in supporting patients undergoing dialysis treatment. You’ll assist with preparing and setting up dialysis sessions, ensuring everything is ready for safe and effective care.

Throughout the day, you’ll support patients before, during, and after their treatment, helping to provide comfort and reassurance at every stage while contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment where teamwork is key.


Shifts are scheduled from 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Saturday.
 



Is This You?

We’re looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, compassion, and a genuine desire to work as part of a team. You don’t need prior dialysis experience - we will provide full training and support. 

What matters most is your attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to patient care, while meeting one of the following: 

  • Certificate III in Assisting in Nursing (Acute Care only - other certificates cannot be accepted at this time)  
  • OR Registered Nursing student (completed 1st year + first semester/trimester of 2nd year)
  • OR Enrolled Nursing student (completed foundational TAFE NSW Diploma units + 80 hours clinical placement)
