About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity in our Single Digital Patient Record Implementation Authority (SDPRIA), for a DevOps Engineer Amazon Web Services

The SDPRIA Data Migration and Archiving Team is building the new mission critical system which clinicians across NSW Health rely on to provide 24 x 7 critical care. A key aspect of the role will be to contribute to a team supporting the core technology infrastructure for our new Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) Archival System, with a focus on the Amazon Web Services tier, Identity Management on Oracle Access Manager or Active Directory Services and Microsoft Entra using GraphAPI’s, which is the foundation of Data Migration and Archiving of Legacy Applications across the State’s Health System landscape. SDPR Data Migration and Archiving Team will provide a secure, holistic, and integrated view of the care a patient receives across the NSW Health system post migration and archiving activities for each Local health District and Speciality Health Network’s implementation, enabling clinicians to access a patient's medical information in real time from a single source.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive the design, implementation and operation of technology infrastructure for the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) hosted on AWS Public Cloud focusing on Archive and Data Migration Technology stack.

  • Contribute to the successful deployment and ongoing support and maintenance of Statewide Archive SSO Integration with SDPR, ensuring alignment with SDPR Migration and Archiving delivery timelines, budgets and quality standards.

  • Deliver scalable, fault-tolerant and cost-effective infrastructure solutions using modern DevOps tools and practices.

  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders including engineers, product owners, architects and vendor SMEs to support platform delivery.

  • Enhance cross-functional team capability and infrastructure automation through integration, optimisation and innovation.
     

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience building and operating enterprise services on AWS or Azure in a shared services environment.

  • Has proven experience in working with Microsoft Entra using GraphAPI, Active Directory.

  • Brings strong knowledge in infrastructure automation tools including Ansible, Packer, PowerShell and AWS Image Builder.

  • Understands modern ICT delivery methods and thrives in Agile environments.

  • Holds relevant certifications in cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) is highly desirable.

  • Source Code versioning and maintenance using GIT.

  • Successful candidates may be required to multiple virtual Epic training sessions and Epic orientation, all scheduled in U.S. time.

  • 'Exempt' is defined as a fixed term contract with a length greater than 13 weeks.
