An exciting leadership opportunity is available for a Deputy Director Allied Health & Disability to join our team based at Station Street, Penrith. Reporting to the District Director Allied Health, Research & Strategic Partnerships, you will play a key role in shaping and strengthening Allied Health and Disability services across the District. You'll provide strategic leadership, professional governance and expert advice to support high-quality, safe and effective allied health practice.
In this influential position, you will support district-wide Allied Health governance and professional standards, provide expert advice to Executives and Operational leaders, lead key initiatives in Clinical Governance, Workforce development and professional practice and oversee Allied Halth policies, credentialing, scope of practice and compliance requirements.

What you will bring to the role
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications and/or equivalent experience with expert knowledge of Allied Health Clinical services across the spectrum of Allied Health Professions and demonstrated knowledge and experience in the area of disability.
- Substantial senior management experience involving Allied Health Professionals and Disability services, and leadership of development of health services, as well as leading organisational change programs of significant scale.
- Demonstrated ability as a senior leader to contribute to shaping strategic plans and to lead work to execute on strategic objectives across a geographically dispersed and complex organisation.
- A track record of Senior Leadership with demonstrated ability to lead high performing teams, promote a learning culture and enable innovation.
- Superior communication skills with the ability to lead, influence and negotiate at a senior executive level.
- Demonstrated ability to lead Allied Health professional governance, strategic and workforce planning, based on expert knowledge of contemporary professional governance frameworks and Allied Health workforce issues, data insights, and a sound understanding of regulation of allied health professions and allied health professional standards.
- Sound understanding of Disability and the NDIS that enables leadership of District wide initiatives to meet the healthcare needs of people with disability.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain strategic partnerships with a range of organisations that support achievement of the organisation’s strategic priorities.
