Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital, the only remaining ANZAC Memorial hospital in New South Wales, provides acute care services to a population of approximately 80,000 people. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Dietitian to join as the Deputy Department Head Dietetics. In this leadership role, you will support the Head of Department in the operational management of Dietetics services across Nepean, Springwood and Blue Mountains Hospitals, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred and cost-effective care.
The successful applicant will play a key role in workforce development, service planning, quality improvement, research, education and professional governance activities, while contributing to the effective management of human, financial and physical resources. As a member of the Allied Health Leadership Team, you will actively participate in strategic planning, service development and broader organisational initiatives across the district.

What you will bring to the role
- Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia.
- Extensive clinical Dietetics experience with advanced clinical expertise and leadership experience in a complex healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated ability to provide professional leadership, clinical governance, supervision and workforce development to support high-quality Dietetics services.
- Demonstrated experience in staff development, clinical supervision, student education and fostering a positive learning culture.
- Demonstrated experience in service development, quality improvement, implementation of evidence-based practice and/or clinical research activities.
- Demonstrated operational management skills including workforce coordination, service planning, resource management and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Highly developed communication, consultation, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience in conflict resolution, performance development and change management.
- Current Driver Licence and willingness to travel across NBMLHD facilities as required.
