Remuneration: $39.43 - $40.33 per hour

What you'll be doing 
As the Department Secretary, Ophthalmology, you will provide high-level administrative and customer service support to ensure the efficient operation of the department. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment.

  • Coordinate and deliver accurate, timely and efficient administrative support across the department

  • Manage correspondence, reports, documentation and communication on behalf of senior staff and clinicians

  • Maintain departmental databases, records and information systems while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality

  • Monitor workflows, prioritise competing demands and resolve issues independently, escalating where appropriate

  • Support workforce administration activities, staff training initiatives and compliance with mandatory organisational requirements
