What you'll be doing
To provide a high standard of specialist oral health care, including oral health education to allocated patients in the discipline of periodontics. The position is responsible to the Network Director- Oral Health through the Head of Department of Oral Restorative Sciences via the Head of Unit.

Essential Requirements

  • Registration: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a General Dentist and a Specialist Periodontist. 


Selection Criteria
 

  1. Sound clinical knowledge in Periodontics, demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
  2. Evidence of continuing education in Dentistry and Periodontics and self-monitoring/audit practices that support credentialing to the position and are commensurate with the scope of practice requirements for the position.
  3. High level interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervision.
  5. Demonstrates the skill and attitudes appropriate for practice as a senior dental officer.
  6. Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support basic, applied, or clinical research within the Department.
  7. A demonstrated ability to work independently within a large team.
