Dental Officer (Level 3) - Hastings Macleay - Dental Officer Rural Incentive Scheme Allowance (DORIS)

1. Registration with the Dental Board of Australia as a Dental Officer/Dentist and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
2. Demonstrated exceptional competency, skills and knowledge in clinical practice including minor oral surgery and complex dental procedures with the ability to provide comprehensive treatment to a wide spectrum of patients requiring a diverse range of clinical needs, including provision of dental services under general anaesthesia, and an understanding and commitment to preventative health approach to patient care.
3. Demonstrated advanced clinical reasoning skills with independent professional judgement in managing difficult clinical situations, complex medical histories and patients with disabilities.
4. Demonstrated clinical leadership with the ability to provide clinical supervision, mentor and support junior clinical staff and participate in the provision of clinical development in-service education programs to staff and students.
5. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, computer skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and provide consultation and advice.
6. 6Demonstrated negotiation, conflict resolution and problem solving skills with the ability to identify, develop and lead opportunities for improvement in clinical practice and ongoing quality improvement activities with staff.
7. Demonstrated ability to produce high quality documentation and presentations, and capable of planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on services.
8. Current unrestricted drivers licence and willingness to travel and work in various locations within the network.
