Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).
This Vacancy is for a permanent full time employee and in addition to your base salary, you will receive the Dental Office Rural Incentive Scheme (DORIS) allowance of up to $20,000 per annum.
What you'll be doing
To provide high quality, safe and comprehensive oral assessment and clinical care to eligible patients within the Mid North Coast Local Health District in accordance with NSW Health Policy.
About You
You are a dedicated and highly skilled Dental Officer with current registration through the Dental Board of Australia and AHPRA, supported by extensive clinical experience and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality oral healthcare. You are experienced in providing comprehensive dental treatment to a diverse patient population with varying and often complex clinical needs, including the provision of dental services under general anaesthesia. Your patient-centred approach is underpinned by a strong commitment to preventative oral health and the promotion of positive long-term outcomes.
You possess excellent verbal, written and computer skills, enabling you to communicate effectively with patients, carers and colleagues while contributing positively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams. With a thorough understanding of current infection prevention and control standards, policies and procedures, you consistently maintain safe and compliant clinical practice. You are confident in exercising independent professional judgement, applying sound clinical reasoning to patient care, and providing guidance and supervision to Dental Therapists and Dental Assistants when required.
Your well-developed negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills support your ability to manage challenging situations professionally and effectively. Committed to ongoing learning and excellence in practice, you actively engage in continuing professional development, quality improvement initiatives and clinical research activities. With a current driver's licence and a willingness to travel, you are flexible, adaptable and dedicated to providing accessible dental services across a range of locations within the health network.
