About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Administration Officer to join our Oral Health team, providing administrative and clerical support to the manager and team to facilitate the smooth operation of the MLHD Mobile Dental Van, delivering dental services to communities across the district.


As the Administration Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing quality customer service, ensuring a respectful and helpful response to all face to face and telephone enquiries.
  • Providing administrative support to clinical staff including patient registration, appointment management and management of dental and medical records.
  • Supporting the appropriate management of referrals and waitlists.
  • Assisting with ordering, purchasing and stores management.
  • Sharing responsibility for the safe driving of fleet vehicles between locations, including occasional operation of a 4.5 tonne truck (dental van).

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience working in a similar support role in a complex organisation as an effective team member.
  • Ability to make good decisions about work priorities and achieve key tasks effectively in a busy work area.
  • Strong communication skills, including attention to detail when writing and good listening skills when dealing with managers, colleagues and members of the public.
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer software and electronic systems to complete work tasks.
  • A current Class C driver's licence, with the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes, including driving long distances and overnight stays at Health Service expense
