About the Opportunity
Join the Single Digital Patient Record Implementation Authority as a Data Governance and Policy Officer and play a key role in transforming healthcare across NSW. In this pivotal position, you’ll provide expert guidance and shape essential policies, procedures, and frameworks around data governance and privacy. Your work will ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations—while enabling the safe, effective use of data to support the implementation of the Single Digital Patient Record.
In this role, you will:
Lead the development and implementation of data policies, frameworks, and guidance materials, and drive their adoption across the NSW Health system to ensure alignment with best practices and strategic objectives.
Design, implement, and oversee robust data governance structures that comply with statutory and legislative requirements.
Provide expert advice on data governance to both internal teams and external partners.
Represent NSW Health on high-level advisory committees, reference groups, and national forums—advocating for progressive, data-driven healthcare reform.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in developing and leading data governance frameworks, strategic priorities, policy, and compliance functions within large and complex service environment.
Strong understanding of government processes and systems, including applying NSW legislation, with insight into the complexities of health service delivery and NSW government policy.
