About the role

Proven leadership experience in managing day-to-day operations in courier and logistics services, including rostering, scheduling, and human resources functions such as performance reviews, training compliance, and recruitment.

Strong customer service focus, with the ability to ensure teams consistently meet KPIs such as delivery timeliness and order accuracy, while building a culture of service excellence.

Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with experience in managing and improving systems for accurate specimen and goods handling, record keeping, and logistics coordination.

Solid understanding of compliance requirements, including infection control, transport safety, hazardous substances, and relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.

Experience in driving operational improvements, including reviewing and refining work practices, contributing to process improvement projects, and producing reports to support business performance.
About you
You are a motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in healthcare logistics, ready to lead a high-performing team. To excel in this role, you will have:

Proven experience coordinating and managing courier and logistics services in a healthcare or pathology setting, with a deep understanding of the operational demands and service expectations.

Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance standards, including Work Health & Safety (WHS), confidentiality, and privacy requirements in a health environment.

Advanced problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to manage urgent, complex, or last-minute service demands while maintaining quality and efficiency.

High level of computer literacy, including experience with fleet management, rostering, inventory, invoicing, and quality systems, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Excellent organisational and change management abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities, drive quality improvement initiatives, and maintain a customer-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.
