The Role:

  • Corporate Support & Catering Supervisor

  • Location: Garrawarra Centre
    Hands-on Leadership | Aged Care & Large-Scale Catering | HACCP Compliance | NSW Food Audits

  • Are you an experienced catering professional with a passion for high standards, team leadership, and making a difference in aged care?

  • Garrawarra Centre is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Corporate Support & Catering Supervisor to lead our food service operations and support broader hospitality functions across our facility. This is a critical, front-line leadership role where your ability to lead by example, engage staff, and uphold rigorous food safety standards will ensure residents receive exceptional care and service.


  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in day-to-day catering operations, ensuring meals are delivered to the highest standards.

  • Supervise, mentor, and support a diverse team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Actively contribute to HACCP compliance and assist in preparing for and participating in NSW Food Authority audits.

  • Maintain and monitor food safety plans and conduct regular internal audits and reporting.

  • Oversee rostering, training, and filling in for frontline roles when necessary to maintain operational continuity.

  • Collaborate across hospitality services (e.g., food, laundry, cleaning) to support operations during staff leave or peak periods.

  • Engage respectfully with residents and families, using feedback to enhance service quality and communication.

  • Promote workplace safety, staff wellbeing, and consistent service delivery across a 7-day operation, including weekends and alternating public holidays.


  • About You:

  • Proven experience in aged care catering and large-scale food production environments.

  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP, food safety legislation, and experience with NSW Food Authority audits.

  • Hands-on leadership style with a proactive and supportive approach to team management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and service excellence.

  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster and support a dynamic, person-centered environment.

  1. Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of operational tasks while managing competing work priorities and work flow within allocated resources.
  2. Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience of domestic / hotel services operations including exposure to catering / food services, cleaning and waste management.
  3. Demonstrated ability to determine priorities for others, allocate tasks, coach and monitor work performance of staff to achieve work objectives.
  4. Demonstrated initiative and the ability to bring a creative approach to problem solving.
  5. Ability to work independently and with demonstrated capacity for effective teamwork.
  6. High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and customer and client service approach.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service and quality improvement initiatives in workplace practices and procedures.
  8. Experience in the use of internet, intranet, Microsoft Office packages, and the ability to e-procurement, Recruitment and Onboarding (ROB), Linen Web, HETI online and Stafflink programs.
