Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is a 99-bed facility providing a comprehensive range of services, including acute medical and surgical care, obstetrics, paediatrics, and diagnostic and allied health services.



About the role:

As an After Hours Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in mentoring and supporting nursing staff outside standard business hours. You’ll coordinate, deliver, and evaluate education across various modalities while providing clinical guidance at the point of care. This role is essential to maintaining high-quality, patient-centred care through a strong culture of learning and professional growth. You’ll be supported by the Director of Nursing and After-Hours Nurse Manager and receive dedicated supernumerary orientation shifts to ensure a confident and well-supported transition into the role.



About you:

You are a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse with a commitment to clinical excellence and staff development. You communicate effectively and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment, and bring a practical and flexible approach to after-hours leadership and education.



Requirements:

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Relevant clinical or education post-registration qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain)
  • Clinical teaching qualification or equivalent, or extensive clinical experience in critical care or clinical education
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in wound management
