About the Opportunity
As a Community Registered Nurse, you’ll provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a range of health needs. You’ll work closely with patients, families, carers and the broader multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate and individualised care.
Your role will include:
- 🩹 Wound care – assessment, treatment and ongoing management
- 🩺 Catheter care – catheter changes and ongoing support
- 💙 Palliative care – providing compassionate care and support to patients and their families
- 💊 Medication management – safe administration, monitoring and education
- 🏡 Community nursing – delivering care within the health facility and patients’ homes
- 🤝 Care coordination – working collaboratively with patients, families and healthcare professionals to support positive health outcomes
You’ll be supported by the Nurse Unit Manager, experienced colleagues and specialist services, including access to wound care expertise, education and professional development opportunities.
About You
We’re looking for a compassionate and organised Registered Nurse who is confident working independently and passionate about delivering high-quality community-based care.
To be successful, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Qualifications or extensive experience in wound management – essential
- Previous community nursing experience desirable, but not essential
- Strong clinical assessment, communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to person-centred, evidence-based care
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team
- A genuine commitment to supporting patients to remain well and independent within their community
