About the Role
Provide expert paediatric complex care clinical consultancy across the Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNLCHD). The MNCLHD is progressive in providing a service which allows rural and regional complex children to have accessible and streamlined specialist care that supports the highest level of value-based service provision.
The MNCLHD Paediatric Complex Care Coordinator Service is a critical connection between families and health services including specialists, primary health, referral hospitals and tertiary providers. Actively promotes and participates in patient safety and ongoing quality improvements and engages in practices that promote the best possible health outcomes for patients/clients and supports a culture of patient safety, clinical quality and innovation.
This is a District based role working in either of our Coffs Harbour or Port Macquarie Corporate Offices.
About You
You will need a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and post graduate qualifications or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate, be passionate about the wellbeing of paediatrics, along with demonstrated abilities in culturally competent health care and an understanding of Aboriginal Health, with specific reference to cultural safety and understanding of the clinical and social needs of families with infants and children who have chronic and complex health needs.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and also to work collaboratively with clients, carers, the multidisciplinary team and services across the continuum and a current drivers license and ability to travel for work purposes is a must.
