What you'll be doing
Blacktown Medical Oncology Research is at the forefront of cancer research, conducting vital clinical drug trials and investigator-initiated studies. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting a high-performing team dedicated to advancing cancer treatment.
In this role your daily responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with Clinical Trials Coordination: Help in organising and coordinating clinical drug trials and research studies.
- Data Management: Ensuring accurate data entry, tracking, and maintenance of trial documentation.
- Patient Interaction: Supporting the team in patient recruitment, consent, and follow-up for clinical trials.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assisting in ensuring that all trials comply with regulatory guidelines and ethical standards.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with researchers, medical professionals, and other staff to ensure the smooth running of trials and studies.

Essential Criteria
- Qualification: Certificate IV in Pathology or Diploma in Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution with subjects relevant to pathology or medical laboratory operations.
Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualification in a health or science discipline and work experience.
- Proven proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as database applications.
- Advanced oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to be able to engage a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to a fast pace environment and be flexible with work hours.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Prior experience or knowledge of audit and quality assurance activities and / or monitoring in the context of clinical trials.
- Well-developed organisation skills to ensure to ensure smooth patient workflows.
