Clinical Trial Coordinator (Floating)
The Clinical Trials Coordinator (CTC) will work with NORTHSTAR Clinical trials which provides support and resources to research groups across NSLHD. The purpose of this role to support and coordinate clinical trials across a variety of specialities. The CTC will need experience across all aspects of clinical trials from feasibility, start up and patient recruitment, study conduct and data entry.

What you'll be doing
The Clinical Trials Coordinator (CTC) will work with NSLHD Research Directorate which provides support and resources to research groups across NSLHD. The purpose of this role to support and coordinate clinical trials across a variety of specialities. The CTC will need experience across all aspects of clinical trials from feasibility, start up and patient recruitment, study conduct and data entry.
The CTC will manage the patient caseload for each study, conducting, and coordinating all aspects of study-specific and study-required procedures.
The CTC is responsible for the recruitment of patients into these studies and for the trial-specific care of patients participating in these studies. The role provides leadership and guidance in all aspects of clinical trial activity and a high level of mentoring of other staff as required. The CTC is expected to assist, provide guidance to, and supervise newer Clinical trial workforce in relation to trial related activities.
The CTC will liaise with the NSLHD Research Office, study-specific pharmaceutical and/or research organisation sponsors, Clinical Research Associates and trial monitors, and clinical trial staff at other centres. The role will also liaise with the patient’s treating team to ensure quality and continuity of care for patients participating in clinical trials.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualification/s and/or equivalent experience in the planning, coordination and conducting of industry-sponsored multi-centre clinical research trials.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail, prioritising work load to meet conflicting and critical deadlines.
Working knowledge and proven experience with NSW Health’s mandatory web-based programmes: REGIS and Clinical Trial Management System.
