About the Opportunity 
As Clinical Technology Integration Technical Lead of our Clinical Technology Team within SDPRIA, you will provide expert technical leadership to support the scoping, requirements development and implementation design of clinical systems that interface with medical devices across NSW Health. 

 

This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in uplift and transformation projects driven by the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) program. You’ll work across SDPRIA, eHealth NSW, HealthShare NSW and NSW Health entities to ensure clinical systems are fit-for-purpose and aligned with biomedical, clinical and digital health requirements to ultimately improve patient care outcomes. Some travel may be required to engage with Local Health Districts (LHDs) and stakeholders across the system. 

 

In this role, you will: 

  • Lead the technical design and implementation of clinical systems interfacing with medical devices 
  • Contribute to enhancements (new or replacement systems) ensuring compliance with NSW Health and Australian Standards 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document technical requirements and market-ready documentation 
  • Support system implementation, testing and assurance activities across functional and non-functional requirements 
  • Advise on feasibility, risks and suitability of technical solutions to ensure optimal performance and outcomes 

 

About You 

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Brings strong technical leadership experience in clinical technology, biomedical engineering or digital health 
  • Can demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across multiple agencies and lead stakeholder engagement 
  • Has knowledge of relevant NSW Health policies, Australian Standards (including biomedical and cyber security), and technology implementation processes 
  • Possesses strong skills in system design, requirements gathering and documentation for health-related technology solutions 
  • Holds qualifications in biomedical engineering, health informatics, or a related field (desirable)
