Digital Health & Innovation (DH&I) is seeking a Permanent Full-time Clinical Systems Architect!
About the Role
As the Clinical Systems Architect, you will play a key role in leading the design, integration and ongoing technical development of new and existing clinical information systems, applications and solutions in Sydney Local Health District (SLHD), including the current Cerner eMR and other Clinical Information Systems (CIS) managed in DH&I. Your expertise will be drawn upon in SLHD’s preparation for the Statewide Digital Patient Record (SDPR), including advice into the SLHD digital health strategy, and collaboration between SLHD and SDPR teams on the complex architecture and integration requirements for new and existing SLHD clinical systems with the Epic SDPR.
The Clinical Systems Architect position will be based at the Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital campus and there may be a requirement to work from time to time at other Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) facilities. The Digital Health teams provide support for systems that are in use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and this position will be required to participate in a 24/7 on-call roster as per CIS support requirements.

Ideal Candidate
- Tertiary qualifications Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Health Science or equivalent work experience as an Architect at a senior level in health, specifically focused in clinical information systems management or information technology.
- Experience in developing current state architecture by mapping the solutions and its core functions within clinical systems and migration to target future state.
- Expert knowledge of Clinical Information Systems that have been implemented in large public hospitals and how these systems are integrated and inter-dependent.
