About the Role
Sydney Local Health District is one of the fastest growing Local Health Districts in New South Wales. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.
This role will be based at Concord Repatriation General Hospital but will be expected to provide a service across Sydney Local Health District.
An opportunity to use your clinical skills to make a difference to service delivery for patients in SLHD, combining clinical dietetics and clinical food services to meet standards of care. The Clinical Support Services Dietitian will work closely with the Heads of Departments of Nutrition and Dietetics at Balmain, Canterbury, Concord and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals and SLHD Director of Nutrition and Dietetics to support services that ensure the provision of safe, nutritious and high-quality clinical food services to patients in SLHD.
The Clinical Support Services Dietitian maintains close liaison with the various HealthShare site food service managers throughout SLHD, and HealthShare Food and Patient Support Services staff, to support local delivery of clinical food services. They will act as a point of liaison and strengthen a timely interface between Nutrition & Dietetics, LHD Food Services, HealthShare Food and Patient Support Services, eHealth and SLHD IM&TD (and other relevant stakeholders) with respect to the statewide menu and therapeutic diets, CBORD (and related informatics) and clinical food service-related matters.

Ideal Candidate
- Must hold a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics according to the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award that provides eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia.
- Sound knowledge of NSW Health nutrition standards and understanding of menu planning principles and application of nutrition skills to clinical food service nutrition in a range of settings.
- Understanding of CBORD Nutrition Services Suite software and how this supports patient-centred care, and advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with quality improvement activities, and ability to work with others to develop and improve systems and services.
- Current NSW drivers licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
