Fixed term temporary, part time for two years (0.6 FTE February 2026 to February 2028)
HNELHD is seeking an experienced paediatrician to take on the role of Clinical Superintendent within our Children, Young People and Families Service. This position offers the opportunity to shape medical education, support junior medical staff and contribute to high quality paediatric care across a diverse and collaborative team.
About the role
As a Clinical Superintendent, you will:
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to registrars, resident medical officers and interns.
• Manage day to day operational priorities including rostering, leave coordination and medical staffing.
• Collaborate with the Medical Staff Unit, Paediatric Training Network and Advanced Training supervisors to manage day to day operational priorities with the JMO Manager.
About You
You are a committed paediatrician who:
• Holds specialist registration with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Has experience in medical education, supervision, and clinical governance.
• Has knowledge of HETI, AHPRA, National Standards and Post Graduate Medical Council accreditation requirements.
• Demonstrated experience with medical rostering.
