Achieve Something Great 
Primary and Community Health Psychology in South Western Sydney Local Health District are recruiting to a temporary full time or part time Clinical Psychologist position based across Fairfield, Liverpool, and Bankstown Community Health Centres. You'll be working in a multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, and recommendations for children with developmental disabilities. Registrar Clinical Psychologists/Clinical Neuropsychologists are welcome to apply.


Are You the Right Fit? 
You'll thrive in this role if you: 

  • Have extensive experience in psychometric and developmental assessment of children. 
  • Have experience in diagnosing and managing children with autism spectrum disorders. 
  • Have experience working with young people with developmental disabilities and their families within a family­ centred approach. 
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary work environment. 
  • Demonstrated experience in and commitment to quality improvement and research.-Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted. (or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).  



Selection Criteria 
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. 

  • Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent.
  • Demonstrated competence in a wide range of psychological assessments and evidence based psychological treatments delivered on an individual and/or group basis
  • Demonstrated experience working independently in the provision of patient/consumer-focused care
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience.
  • Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
