About the role

This exciting 12 month fixed-term Part-time (0.4 FTE or 0.6 FTE) opportunity with possibility of extension is for an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to work at Braeside Hospital as part of a multidisciplinary medical rehabilitation team, and will provide hospital-based psychological services to patients with mood disorders alongside a wide range of acquired disabilities, including but not limited to, stroke, neurological conditions and/or orthopaedic injuries.

HammondCare is a NSW Health-affiliated organisation and all NSW Health transferrable entitlements will be recognised.


About you

  • Completed Masters or Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology.

  • Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) with full endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology, or eligibility to work towards Clinical Psychology endorsement

  • Demonstrated experience in the psychological assessment and treatment of people with anxiety, depression, adjustment to life changes/illness, and/or chronic pain. Clinical experience across community settings would be desirable.

  • Capacity to design and implement short- and medium-term treatment protocols for a range of psychological issues, and the ability to adapt standardised approaches to meet the needs of patients with disability and/or CALD backgrounds.

  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a health setting

  • Demonstrated high levels of self-motivation, organisation and time management and the capacity to contribute to service development and evaluation.
