Mount Druitt Community Health Centre is part of Western Sydney Local Health District’s Integrated and Community Health (ICH) network, supporting children and families across one of Australia’s most diverse and fastest-growing regions. Our Community Paediatrics service provides integrated, family-centred care that meets children where they are – in community health centres and place-based settings.

What you'll be doing
Working within the Community Paediatrics service, you will use your advanced clinical expertise to support children and young people up to 18 years of age who present with behavioural, emotional and developmental concerns.
· Provide triage, assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based psychological interventions
· Develop and deliver family-focused, trauma-informed and culturally responsive care plans
· Deliver individual, family and group interventions, including parenting and skills programs
· Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to create coordinated, effective care pathways
· Contribute to service delivery, outcome measurement, quality improvement and supervision

Essential Criteria:
· License: NSW Drivers licence
· Qualification: Relevant Degree in Clinical Psychologist
· Registration: Registered with the Psychological Board of Australia
Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated experience in conducting independent clinical psychological assessments and intervention (individual, family and group) with children, adolescents and their families/carers, including experience in psychometric assessment with children.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of child development, attachment and trauma informed care and application in child and family clinical settings.
3. Experience in and/or knowledge of systemic approaches to provision of parenting interventions and family focused therapies.
4. Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics and effects of abuse, neglect and domestic violence and best practise when working with children experiencing child protection issues.
5. Effective interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and work with families from differing socioeconomic and /or culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds to achieve client outcomes and goals.
6. High level of written clinical documentation skills with demonstrated competency in using computer based applications including electronic health records.
7. Demonstrated excellent time management and organisation skills to provide timely and appropriate services and meet workload expectations.
8. Current drivers licence valid in Australia and the willingness to use for work purposes and work flexibility at varying sites across the district
