What you'll be doing
As a Clinical Psychologist, you will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team to provide a high-level psychological service to forensic patients incorporating assessment, treatment and evaluation of an individual's functioning and the provision of comprehensive forensic reports to the Mental Health Review Tribunal
You will contribute to assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and recovery planning while strengthening service quality through education, supervision and ongoing development.
Deliver individual therapy, group programs and evidence-based psychological interventions
Complete comprehensive forensic assessments and high-quality reports for the Mental Health Review Tribunal
Participate in multidisciplinary team risk assessments, care planning and discharge processes
Support the education and supervision of students and colleagues within a teaching hospital setting
Contribute to service improvement initiatives, research, quality assurance and professional development

Essential Requirements:
Qualification: Master or Doctorate of Clinical Psychology or Forensic Psychology
Registration: Full registration as Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with an area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology (or Forensic Psychology)
Selection Criteria:
Hold a Masters or Doctorate of Clinical Psychology or Forensic Psychology and have full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA. 2 years Length of full registration / practice.
Sound working knowledge of psychiatric disorders and demonstrated experience providing neuropsychological and clinical assessments for adults diagnosed with a mental illness.
Demonstrated experience in providing evidence-based individual and group-based interventions and assessments, and knowledge of how to refer inpatients and outpatients for evidence-based clinical assessments and therapy for adults diagnosed with a mental illness.
Demonstrated experience providing high-quality MHRT and forensic reports, including ability to express case formulation and risk management plans would be an advantage.
Proven experience working in a multidisciplinary mental health setting and maintaining team work processes as well as highly developed self-initiation and organisation skills
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
Experience in Clinical Supervision and training other professionals.
