About Us
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean and Blue Mountains and Lithgow Region.

NBMLHD Community Mental Health offers a range of specialised services for children, young people, families and older people, through our community-based services and health centres. Our multidisciplinary health professionals and case managers take a collaborative approach to mental health care by linking with their patients to work together and consult within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.

Step into a role where your expertise truly matters. We’re seeking a skilled and driven psychologist to join our inpatient mental health team, someone ready to make a real impact on the lives of individuals facing complex psychological challenges. In this dynamic environment, you’ll deliver high-quality psychological assessments and evidence-based therapies that support recovery, restore functioning, and enhance overall wellbeing.

As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to care planning, facilitate smooth transfers of care, and shape discharge strategies that empower patients beyond their hospital stay. This role demands autonomy, advanced clinical judgement, and the ability to navigate complex situations with confidence and clarity.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a structured setting, brings exceptional interpersonal skills, and has the insight to identify concerns, access resources, and advocate for meaningful outcomes. If you’re ready to lead with compassion, think critically, and work independently while being part of a collaborative team, this is your chance to make a lasting difference in mental health care.

Benefits available to eligible NBMLHD employees

•    Novated Leasing
•    Great education opportunities through Education Training Service which offers over 110 courses each year
•    Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for staff and family members
