The Clinical Nurse Unit Manager (CNUM) is in charge of all aspects of the unit environment and takes overall responsibility for the standard of patient care in the unit, giving you the platform to lead culture, elevate patient experience and drive high quality, compassionate care across every shift.

Selection Criteria 
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. 

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
  • Demonstrated senior nursing experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in a relevant setting.
  • Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and manage conflicts and performance issues when they arise
  • Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the management of the unit and the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
  • Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
