Renumeration: $116,693.98 - $120,469.88 per annum (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)

What you’ll be doing:
Using innovative, evidence-based skills and interventions, you will professionally support individuals seeking assistance with alcohol and drug use. You will take a trauma-informed approach and provide respectful, person-centred care, tailored to each individual’s needs. Central to your role will be employing an individualised, holistic approach to care, incorporating comprehensive care planning to address the diverse physical, emotional, and social aspects of each person’s journey.
This position provides advanced clinical nursing expertise and leadership in the management of people with complex health needs, including those related to hepatitis C, sexual health, chronic disease, nicotine dependence and cognitive impairment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the CNS2 delivers care in a community-based setting and supports safe ambulatory withdrawal, harm minimisation, health promotion and continuity of care across services.
The CNS2 contributes to clinical governance, provides support and education to colleagues and students, and helps build capacity across other MLHD service partners, primary care and non-government organisations. The role also assists with the implementation of clinical care standards, policies and guidelines aligned with the objectives of the Integrated AOD Service and the NSW Health Clinical Care Standards for AOD Treatment.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Post graduate qualifications relevant to the specialty and at least three years full-time equivalent clinical experience in the specialty area
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and proven problem-solving ability within a clinical setting.
