Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 Wound Management

This position will allow you to work part time, with completely flexible hours, on the mid north coast of NSW at Taree.

About the position:

The Wound Management Specialist role is responsible for the provision of a clinic based service to support community nurses and patients with non-healing, advocate for patient treatments and procedures for improved patient outcomes and will be expected to lead the pressure injury prevention (PIPP) survey and provide staff education. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2, you will utilise your extensive knowledge, ability to lead and educate, share information openly with others and promote a learning culture.  This position will report to the Manager Generalist Care and additional support will be provided by the NUMs of Taree and Forster Generalist Care to the incumbent.

This role will The Generalist Care team is spread across four (4) Community Health Centres: Forster, Bulahdelah, Taree and Gloucester which you will require regular travel based on need. The position is based at Taree Community Health, however clinics are held at each centre once or twice a month and referrals are received from all four community health centre nursing teams.
