What you'll be doing
To provide specialist palliative care support to patients, their families and health professionals.
About You
You are an experienced Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and a strong background in specialist palliative care. With extensive post-graduate nursing experience, you are committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and supporting their families through all stages of the care journey.
You possess advanced knowledge and expertise in palliative care assessment, care planning and clinical management, with particular strengths in pain and symptom management, advance care planning, and end-of-life care. Your ability to apply evidence-based practice and sound clinical judgement ensures patients receive high-quality care that promotes comfort, dignity and quality of life.
You are a confident communicator with highly developed interpersonal skills, enabling you to build meaningful relationships with patients, families and healthcare professionals during sensitive and often challenging circumstances. Equally effective working independently or within multidisciplinary teams, you contribute to coordinated, holistic care that meets the physical, emotional and psychosocial needs of patients and their loved ones.
In addition to your clinical expertise, you have a demonstrated passion for education and professional development, supporting the growth and capability of nursing staff through palliative care education and mentoring. As an experienced leader, you bring initiative, professionalism and a collaborative approach to service delivery, consistently contributing to high-quality palliative care outcomes and continuous improvement within healthcare settings.
