What you’ll be doing

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2, you’ll play a pivotal role in the Behaviour Management Project (BUMP), delivering expert nursing care and leading practice development across the hospital.

  • Provide advanced, evidence-based nursing care for patients with complex behavioural needs

  • Collaborate with CNCs and Allied Health professionals to implement effective interventions

  • Lead education and training initiatives within your specialty

  • Contribute to strategic planning and quality improvement projects

  • Mentor and support nursing staff to enhance clinical practice

Essential Criteria:

  • Current Registered Nurse Division 1 Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Vaccination A+ 

Selection Criteria:

  1. A minimum of three (3) years full-time equivalent experience working in relevant clinical setting and post relevant post graduate studies as determined by organisation

  2. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, carers and a diverse range of health care providers including those in government, non-government and community organisations

  3. Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, with an emphasis on service delivery, quality of care and team cohesion with an ability to identify and improve opportunities to enhance continuity of care between the acute sector, primary care providers and community based services

  4. Demonstrate ability to utilise information technology within a variety of applications and willingness to undertake training

  5. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal and problem solving capabilities.
