About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity to gain experience in the South West Sydney Local Health District. Liverpool Hospital’s Surgical Speciality ward CB5E is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Registered Nurse who would like the opportunity to work as the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE). 

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior nurse to play a role in leading this dynamic and innovative multidisciplinary team. As the CNE of CB5E, you are expected to have extensive Surgical Speciality skills related to the management of Urology, ENT and Head and Neck complex patients.

What You'll be Doing
Deliver and evaluate clinical education programs in consultation with Management, Nurse Educators and Clinical Nurse Consultants, to support the delivery of clinical best practice, patient service and enhanced patient outcomes.

Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.


The ongoing $830 million redevelopment as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct is transforming the hospital into a global hub for medical innovation. This redevelopment will expand clinical services, enhance research and teaching facilities, and introduce state-of-the-art equipment and amenities.

  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a post graduate qualification in a relevant clinical field or education post graduate qualification or a combination of education training and clinical experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
  2. Demonstrated approach to undertaking this role as a Clinical Nurse Educator who is responsible for developing and implementing the nursing education and training plan.
  3. Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  4. demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
  5. Demonstrated ability to apple principles of adult learning, teach and assessment in the clinical setting and proven ability to develop, implement and evaluate nursing education programs.
