What you'll be doing 
As the Clinical Nurse Educator, you will design, deliver and evaluate education programs that strengthen clinical capability, promote best practice and support outstanding patient outcomes. You'll mentor nursing staff, facilitate bedside learning and champion continuous improvement across the service.

• Develop, coordinate and evaluate education programs, orientation, mandatory training and professional development activities.

• Mentor and assess nursing staff, supporting clinical competency, professional growth and evidence-based practice.

• Provide expert clinical education through bedside teaching and consultation with nursing and multidisciplinary teams.

• Lead and contribute to quality improvement, research and education initiatives that enhance patient safety and service delivery.

• Build strong partnerships with clinical leaders to support operational priorities, workforce capability and person-centred care.

Essential Criteria

• Registration:Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria

1. Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and/ or post registration qualification in the relevant speciality and nursing professional development/education.

2. Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture

3. Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care.

4. Demonstrated effective and high level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutions skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting.

5. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement whilst ensuring currency of practice in the relevant specialty.

6. Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of nursing practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment.

7. Relevant computer skills including database programmes and data entry.
