Where you'll be working:

Join the Inverell Hospital Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) Team, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting and educating staff across the facility. Inverell Hospital is a busy Rural District Hospital, home to an Emergency Department, Renal Dialysis Unit, In-Patient Unit, Maternity, and Surgical Services.

Inverell is an elegant and historic rural town on the Macintyre River and is in the heart of the gemstone country. The town is known as Australia’s Sapphire City, and you can try your luck at finding gemstones at Billabong Blue Sapphire Fossicking Park and several other locations around town. Inverell has beautiful boutiques and coffee shops, you will be sure to find something you love! Benefit from convenient flight options at Inverell airport, offering a swift 1-hour flight to Brisbane and regular flights to Sydney and Melbourne throughout the week. Take pleasure in scenic countryside drives or embark on trips to Brisbane or Sydney, with travel times ranging from 5 to 7 hours.

As our new Clinical Nurse Educator, you will be:
  • Providing clinical teaching and support to all levels of nursing staff.
  • Working alongside nurses in a clinical capacity, facilitating education and development.
  • Acting as a role model for staff, promoting evidence-based nursing practice.
  • Interpreting and implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines related to nursing education.
  • Assisting in the training of students, including Assistants in Nursing (AINs), Enrolled Nurses (ENs), and Registered Nurses (RNs).

  • A passion for education and professional development in nursing.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills (non-negotiable!).
  • The ability to function as a clinical expert, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and expertise.
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements:

  • Current Workplace Training and Assessment Cert IV or willing to work towards
  • Registered Nurse with full AHPRA registration and who holds relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate.

This is a Category A position.
