An exciting opportunity is now available for a passionate and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join the dynamic General Surgery Unit at Nepean Hospital. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a fast-paced, supportive, and innovative clinical environment.
This role will see you provide leadership to a diverse team and participate as an active member of that team. You will be responsible for identifying, planning and evaluating education and professional development programs for staffs across the unit ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and evidence-based patient care. You will use diverse education strategies to strengthen clinical practice, provide feedback to staffs and collaborate with the NUM/MUM to support performance and development.

What you will bring to the role
- Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Relevant clinical/education post registration qualification or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer
- Recent extensive clinical experience deemed appropriate by the selection panel
- Demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate education.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to work in a consultative manner.
- Demonstrated previous experience in clinical teaching, mentoring and preceptorship.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to working with N/MUM to establish and maintain a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice.
