Selection Criteria

  • Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and 7 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 5 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
  • Holds approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Extensive understanding of speciality disorders and their current management.
  • Extensive knowledge of good clinical practice, policies and procedure
  • Proven ability to consult, review, and develop, both new and existing policies and procedures within the relevant specialty
  • Computer skills including word processing, presentation, spread sheet applications and clinical information systems
