About the role
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant for Psychogeriatrics, you will:

  • Provide expert advice and consultancy in dementia care, particularly around clients experiencing challenging behaviours
  • Deliver education and support to clients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals
  • Liaise with GPs, NGOs, Specialist Geriatricians, and other services to enhance outcomes and reduce hospital admissions
  • Lead improvements in dementia care pathways across the Lower Mid North Coast
  • Represent the service in district forums and continuous improvement initiatives

About you
You're a Registered Nurse with:

  • A minimum of 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience
  • Postgraduate qualifications or substantial experience in Mental Health, Gerontology, or Dementia Care
  • A current unrestricted NSW driver’s licence and a willingness to travel across the sector
  • Strong clinical judgement, education capabilities, and the ability to build collaborative networks

  • To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.   • This position is full time only however flexible working arrangements will be considered.
