  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and current NSW Driver’s License (if required by service).
  2. Minimum five years full time equivalent post graduate qualification experience and a post graduate qualification relevant to field of practice, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
  3. Proven clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
  4. Knowledge of research methodology and Good Clinical Research Practice Guidelines standards and experience in the conduct of clinical research trials.
  5. Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic and clinical service planning.
  6. Proven skills in clinical teaching, the identification of education needs in the clinical area, and competency in the use of contemporary information systems.
  7. Demonstrated involvement in the development/change of clinical practice underpinned by evidence-based research.
  8. Demonstrated effective communication and inter-personal skills across a variety of mediums.
