What you'll be doing
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant specialising in Cystic Fibrosis, you’ll play a key role in coordinating and delivering high-level specialist care, developing clinical education and resources, supporting research, and leading quality improvement initiatives across the CF service.
Deliver expert consultancy and direct care to patients with complex CF needs
Provide leadership in clinical care planning, service development, and evaluation
Mentor staff, contribute to postgraduate education, and deliver family/carer education
Coordinate outpatient and inpatient services in collaboration with medical teams
Participate in quality improvement, research, and policy development at a local and national level

Essential Criteria:
Registration: Currently authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Licence: Valid NSW drivers’ licence
Selection Criteria:
Minimum five (5) years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least three (3) years full time equivalent experience in Respiratory Medicine, Cystic Fibrosis or equivalent.
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, teamwork and problem-solving skills. Possesses significant communication skill to be able to interact with any member of the multidisciplinary team, clients, and carers to facilitate effective clinical care, clinical service, and clinical supervision.
Demonstrated experience in, commitment to and active participation in the clinical education of students, graduate, new and junior staff.
Proven ability to provide high level clinical advice and education to guide and support others in providing service excellence for patients with CF, to enhance service delivery.
Demonstrated ability to provide advice to service managers on clinical service delivery, clinical practice, and clinical redesign.
Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
Demonstrated effective teaching and research skills, with competence in information technology including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
