Where you'll be working

SESLHD Drug and Alcohol Service offers a range of treatment and support services for people with problems from their alcohol, prescription or illicit drug use, and/or their families and carers. Outpatient D&A services are located in clinics at the Langton Centre in Surry Hills, St George Hospital in Kogarah, and Caringbah Community Health Centre at Sutherland Hospital. Inpatient D&A services are provided at Sydney Hospital, Prince of Wales, St. George and Sutherland Hospitals. Our goal is to improve health, wellbeing and social outcomes for individuals, families and the community, related to drug and alcohol use.

The Role

The Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 position works across the SESLHD district providing senior clinical nursing leadership and expert drug & alcohol clinical advice to a range of community health providers. The position works across Langton Centre, St George and Sutherland and works closely with the community clinical teams


The position also has significant responsibilities in the delivery of clinical leadership and education, and participates in research, quality improvement activities and clinical services planning in accordance with the criteria for a Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 as per the NSW Public Health System Nurses and Midwives (State) Award The position works day shifts Monday to Friday inclusive.
