Clinical Midwife/Nurse Educator

What you will bring to the role: 

1. Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
2. Relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications, or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer. Current or recent experience in working with high risk Antenatal Women will be an advantage.
3. Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes that align with NSW Health's organisation's CORE values of; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment, when interacting with staff, patients, consumers, and carers.
4. Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward/unit level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care.
5. Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement and the maintenance of a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice.
6. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, feedback and conflict resolution. Evidence of computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and record management systems
7. Demonstrated ability to motivate, support and engage people in the clinical setting and work professionally in a multidisciplinary team.
8. Current valid Drivers Licence willingness to use for work purposes. This will include driving long distances across the Local Health District.
