Play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future of maternity services at Bowral & District Hospital. As the Clinical Midwifery Consultant (CMC), you will champion safe, personalised and evidence-based care, supporting positive outcomes and experiences for women, babies and their families throughout their maternity journey. Join a collaborative and supportive maternity team where your expertise will make a lasting impact. 

You will provide clinical leadership, mentorship and education to midwives across antenatal, birthing and postnatal services, fostering professional growth and promoting excellence in maternity care. In this influential role, you will contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of contemporary models of care, including the Midwifery Antenatal Postnatal Service (MAPS), while helping to shape the future implementation of Midwifery Group Practice (MGP). 

Your leadership will support the delivery of innovative, woman-centred care that meets the evolving needs of the local community. You will also lead quality improvement, service development and workforce initiatives that strengthen service delivery and drive exceptional outcomes. Working closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will help advance continuity of care principles, encourage innovation and uphold the highest standards of maternity care at Bowral & District Hospital.

You thrive in a supportive team environment and are dedicated to fostering professional growth, building capability and driving positive workplace culture.You possess advanced clinical expertise across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care, enabling you to confidently manage complex clinical situations and contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives. Your experience and leadership will play a key role in supporting safe, evidence-based practice and enhancing patient experiences.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the future direction of maternity services at Bowral & District Hospital. You will contribute to the continued development of contemporary models of care, including the future implementation of a Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) model, helping to shape innovative and responsive maternity services for the local community.In this role, you will provide clinical leadership, education and mentorship while working closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes for women and their families. During periods of unplanned workforce shortages, you will also be willing to provide on-call support or work clinically within the maternity unit to ensure the continued delivery of safe, high-quality care.
