An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced mental clinician experienced in leadership and project management to undertake a project coordination role to oversee and support the implementation of a Blended Adult Rehabilitation Program within SESLHD Mental Health Service - sound like you?

The position holder will provide change and project management expertise and will work with the Virtual Mental Health Care Coordinator and other project leads in identifying strategic and partnership opportunities, managing relationships with external and internal stakeholders, and leading the implementation of evidence-based practice models for effective virtual Mental Health rehabilitation. Central to planning, delivery and evaluation of programs and initiatives will be the meaningful inclusion of people with lived experience.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Social Worker or Occupational Therapist (OT) qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Professional (State) Award with eligibility for membership of AASW for Social Worker or current AHPRA registration for OT OR; Registered nurse/midwife with current unrestricted registration with AHPRA and meet the requirement for NUM1 grading under the NSW Public Health System Nurses’ and Midwives’ State Award OR; Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, along with completion of 12 months at the 9th year of service and thereafter point on the salary scale for Psychologists OR; Full Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), with Endorsement in relevant Area of Practice (or eligibility to progress to same), along with a minimum two-year full-time APAC- accredited postgraduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, Forensic Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology.
  2. Demonstrated extensive skills, knowledge and experience in the management and delivery of mental health rehabilitation with a focus on contemporary recovery-orientation and strengths approaches that incorporate consumer collaboration in care planning.
  3. Demonstrated management of departmental resources and services and multidisciplinary team leadership experience; including the provision of clinical supervision, the facilitation of clinical review and risk management, debriefing and supervision to team members.
  4. Knowledge, skills and experience in a range of contemporary, evidence-based interventions relevant to working with people with mental health issues.
  5. Highly developed communication, interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
  7. Highly developed knowledge of the benefits and challenges inherent to the integration of virtual, digital and telehealth/technology to clinical practices, and the required innovative approaches and solutions for adoption.
  8. Willingness and capacity to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
