Selection Criteria: 

  1. Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award. Professional qualifications in Social Work (eligible for membership of AASW) or Occupational Therapy (with current APHRA registration), or Registered Nurse (with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia), or Senior Psychologist with a recognised 4 year degree in Psychology (with full registration with AHPRA), and at least 8 years’ post registration experience; or Clinical Psychologist with full registration with AHPRA and Endorsement in Clinical Psychology (or eligibility to progress to same), along with a minimum two-year full-time equivalent Master or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology.
  2. Extensive knowledge, clinical experience and leadership in the management and delivery of health care services, in particular a complex child & adolescent community mental health setting.
  3. Ability to provide high level of guidance, leadership and management in innovative clinical service delivery, harm minimisation and practice development.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
  5. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and demonstrated application of evidence-based practice within mental health services.
  6. Proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture, and articulate and achieve a vision for nursing/ allied health services.
  7. Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
  8. Current NSW Drivers License, and a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
