Selection Criteria

1. Dental qualification eligible for registration as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
2. A minimum of five years (full time equivalent) clinical experience as a dentist in Australia encompassing excellent operative skills, treatment planning and patient management skills in general dentistry
3. Proven record of providing support and advice to other members of the oral health clinical team, concerning assessment and treatment of complex dental cases and the management of children
4. Demonstrated ability in identifying opportunities for improvement in clinical practice, develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with staff
5. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a digital dental environment, including but not limited to electronic oral health records, digital imaging and telehealth systems
6. Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain positive and professional interpersonal communications with the ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary clinical team
7. Strong commitment to work in rural NSW and understanding of issues related to working with rural communities
8. Demonstrated commitment to provide regular outreach clinical services, including an ability and willingness to travel for work purposes, including driving long distances and overnight stays. Evidence of a minimum NSW Class C Drivers Licence is required
