This is an exciting opportunity in Clinical engineering, if you have a strong background in electronics/ electrical as well as computer networking, particularly as it relates to medical device integration within hospital IT infrastructure. You will enjoy a hands-on role; underpinned by studies in an Engineering discipline relevant to Clinical Engineering then we would like to hear from you.

Where you'll be working
Northern Sydney Local Health District in Clinical Technology Service

What you'll be doing
You will demonstrate strong enthusiasm for medical devices, with a particular focus on their integration into hospital networked systems. This includes supporting safe and reliable connectivity with clinical IT infrastructure, collaborating with IT and clinical teams, and ensuring network‑connected medical devices function effectively within the hospital environment.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering (qualification must be recognised by Engineers Australia) and progressing towards or having completed studies in relevant life science subjects or a Masters in Biomedical Engineering.
  2. Demonstrated skills and knowledge in troubleshooting preferably in design of electronic/computer equipment.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of software principles, windows operating system and data network theory and application. Sound computer skills including database systems and office productivity software.
  4. Current NSW drivers licence.
