What you'll be doing 
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Dietetics Department at Westmead Hospital in a Level 1/ Level 2 Dietitian role. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of patient groups in inpatient and outpatient settings. Bring your passion for nutrition to WSLHD, where you’ll deliver patient-centred care, support learning, and grow your career in a dynamic, supportive team. Key responsibilities will be to:

 

  • Provide high-quality nutrition care across varied caseloads 

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary health teams 

  • Support education, training, and student supervision 

  • Contribute to service planning and quality improvement 

  • Build your expertise with ongoing professional development

 

This position is responsible for providing patient centred and high quality nutrition services to clients, including providing nutritional care to patients as per caseload; provide and participate in education and evaluation; and participate in ongoing professional development.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualification: Bachelor or post graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.

  • Registration: Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA).

 

Selection Criteria:

  1. Relevant clinical experience and good knowledge of current Dietetics Practices.

  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group education skills.

  3. Understanding and commitment to quality improvement.

  4. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of the team.

  5. Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and evidence-based practice.

  6. Excellent computer skills including CBORD.

  7. Current drivers' licence and willingness to drive
