  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Relevant post-graduate qualification (or working towards same), or extensive clinical management experience in an acute health care facility.
  3. Demonstrated leadership skills with advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills with a proven ability to solve complex operational problems.
  4. Demonstrated excellent communication, negotiation, decision-making and influencing skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with key stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrated understanding of the principles of patient flow.
  6. Proficiency and computer literacy including working knowledge of staff scheduling and NSW Health Patient Flow Portal.
  7. Demonstrated experience and ability to contribute to service development, planning and change management.
  8. Proven ability to function effectively as part of team and to work successfully with other professionals and disciplines.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
